In April 2012, the Cordelia Knott Wellness Foundation joined The Center for Cancer Prevention and Treatment at St. Joseph Hospital. Through this process Ginny's Shop (formerly The Shop on Main) opened its doors in June, 2012.
As of December 31, 2012, the Cordelia Knott Wellness Foundation ceased to exist and became the Cordelia Knott Support Fund at St. Joseph Hospital Foundation. This account is set up to be an endowment fund and a portion of the annual revenue generated will be used to support financial aid for those experiencing undue economic hardships during their cancer journey. This is a closely-monitored activity and individuals must qualify under certain conditions and specific guidelines. Two other active funds have been transferred to the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation, The Marsha Bosley Fund and the Marcia Schwartz Fund. These funds were established in honor of both these individuals and are to be used to help support breast cancer patients with scholarships for the mind, body and spirit. These will continue to be viable and active accounts and used for the purpose intended.
From all of us to all of you, thank you for your support and encouragement over the past 14 years. Your faithful dedication to an organization that began with five women who had a vision that became a reality is sincerely appreciated. Our current board members are eager to continue their involvement with us, just in different ways. We hope you will also continue to support us. We have made a difference and look forward to continuing to do so.
We shall always be grateful for your kindness.
